On April 17, 2013, the Charity & Security Network, in cooperation with the American Bar Association’s Middle East Committee and International Human Rights Committee, brought a panel of experts together to discuss the differences in listing procedures in the UN, US and EU, and how human rights and due process concerns have surfaced.

Panelists included Kimberly Prost, the UN’s ombudsperson for delisting, Maya Lester, a barrister from the UK who has defended individuals on the terrorist lists in the EU and UK, and David Cole, a Professor of Law at Georgetown University who has also defended individuals and organizations listed as terrorists in the U.S.
